Body of Seymour suspect found after apparent suicide

SEYMOUR, IN (FOX19)- A body found half a mile from a spot where a man traded shots fired with police was confirmed Wednesday night as that of the man they were looking for, John Michael Fish.

Fish was last seen during the incident Monday night along a service road just northwest of the intersection of Route 50 and I-65, at the east end of Seymour.  Police had been looking for him ever since.

With Wednesday's clear and mild conditions, the lead investigator wanted to go up in the air one more time to search the area.  Around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, they discovered a body in a treeline near some railroad tracks about half a mile north-northwest from where everything started Monday night.

The coroner's office would later confirm the body is that of John Michael Fish.

KY's Conway joins attorneys general upset with Google data sharing

FRANKFORT, KY (FOX19) - Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway has joined the attorneys general of 35 other states in expressing concern over Google's new privacy policy. In a letter to Google Chief Executive Larry Page, the attorneys general outlined multiple concerns with recently announced changes to Google's privacy policy that is scheduled to automatically go into effect for all users of Google products and services on March 1, 2012.

Greg Zoeller, Indiana Attorney General, has also signed this letter; Ohio's Mike DeWine hasn't.

Conway says this policy change threatens the privacy of those users of various Google products who wish to keep various parts of their online experience separate. It also has the potential to heighten the risk of identity theft and fraud, given that Google will now be storing more extensive personal information profiles.

Major road work to cut 74 to one lane

Major road work to cut 74 to one lane

BATESVILLE, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation says there will be temporary lane restrictions on I-74 in Franklin County for pavement repairs.

Beginning Thursday, March 1, weather permitting, construction crews will be removing areas of existing pavement and replacing it with new concrete.  The work will be performed in both east and west bound lanes of I-74 near the 147.5 mile marker, reducing traffic to one lane.  INDOT says there will be lane shifts, posted speed reductions, and construction vehicles when traveling through the work zone.  The work is expected to be completed by Friday, June 1.

Oversized loads will not be permitted through the work zone due to a reduction in lane width.  All wide loads traveling east and west bound must use State Road 46 (S.R. 46) between exits 143 and 149 as an alternate route.   Message boards and traditional signage will be placed on I-74 to help direct motorists.
