Laurel woman arrested for running in home meth lab

FRANKLIN COUNTY, IN (FOX19) - A woman in Laurel, IN is facing several felony charges after police found a working meth lab in her home.

A warrent was served at the home of Carla Taggart,48, on Wednesday by members of the Pendleton District Meth Squad, along with officers from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department and Rushville City Drug Task Force.

The warrant was obtained for the home on old US 52 as the result of officers following up on tips in an ongoing meth investigation.

Taggart was arrested charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Class “B” Felony; Possession of Precursors used in the Manufacture of Methamphetamine Class “D” Felony; Possession of Methamphetamine, Class “D” Felony and Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Class “D” Felony.

Taggart was being held in the Franklin County Jail.

RIPLEY COUNTY, IN (FOX19) - Deputies with the Ripley County Sheriff's office assisted the Osgood Police and Indiana State Police in an investigation into the theft of the main ingredient to make methamphetamine.

ADAMS AND RIPLEY COUNTY, IN (FOX19) - Ripley County Sheriff's are investigating several daytime burglaries that have recently occured in the Adams and Franklin Township areas.

It is unclear at this time if these burglaries are connected, however some of the same items are being taken from the homes, i.e. jewelry, flat screen TV’s, other electronics, and prescription pain medication.

Burglary locations include the 3000 and 5000 block of east CR 1100 north, 10000 block of north CR 500 east, 4000 block of east CR 800 N, and 5000 block of east CR 700 N.

The Sheriff’s Office is working with other police agencies to develop similarities in the burglaries, and to match evidence, in an attempt to connect the incidents, and develop possible leads. There are no suspectsat this time.

Class ring among stolen items in Sunman home invasion

SUNMAN, IN (FOX19) - Ripley County Sheriff's are investigating a home invasion that happened on Monday in Sunman.

Evidence left at the scene indicates a  forced entry into the home on East County Road around 3:44pm. Once inside the residence, the suspect(s) responsible removed a television, an undisclosed amount of money, and a “class ring” belonging to the victim(s).

Police looking for suspect in Greendale robbery

GREENDALE, IN (FOX19) -Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing an Ameristop in Greendale.

Police were called to the to the convenience store on U.S. 50 near the Interstate 275 ramp around 8:15 p.m. on Saturday in reference to a robbery.

Upon arrival, police were advised that a man reached over the counter, grabbed money out of the cash register and fled the store.

Witnesses say that the man fled the store's lot in a red or maroon Lincoln Navigator.

The suspect did not present a weapon during the robbery.
