Ground breaking held for new Harrison Skyline location

HARRISON, OH (FOX19) - A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Thursday for a new, larger Skyline Chili in Harrison.

The new Skyline location will offer Harrison residents a convenient and updated space where they can enjoy time with family and friends over Coneys and Ways.

Joann Wandsnider, or “Jo-Mamma” as many refer to her, has worked for Skyline Chili for over 28 years at the Harrison location. Wandsinder has a deep-rooted connection to the community donating time and monetary contributions to the local schools and programs that support Harrison youth.

The restaurant is located on Harrison Avenue.

There is no word on when construction on the new Skyline will be complete.

New sports bar & grill opening at Belterra Casino Resort

FLORENCE, IN (FOX19) - The Belterra Casino Resort in Indiana is set to open a new sports bar & grill with the full 'Stadium' feel.

Stadium Sports Bar & Grill will have 30 screens to watch your favorite sports. There will also be a selection of 50 different beers.

Customers must be at least 21 years old to enter Stadium Sports Bar & Grill.

LAWRENCEBURG, IN (FOX19) - Riverwatch Floating Restaurant & Bar is hiring for the 2013 season and will be having a job fair to recruit about 30 employees.

Riverwatch managers are looking for servers, bus boys, line cooks, bartenders, hostessess, food runners and golf cart operators. The job fair will be held at the restaurant on 1 Walnut Street in Lawrenceburg, IN on Friday April 12 3pm-7pm and Saturday, April 13 from 11am-3pm.

Due to the construction free covered parking will be in the Ivy Tech garage.

Local restaurant celebrates 30 years of business

VEVAY, IN (FOX19) - A restaurant in Vevay is celebrating a milestone anniversary on Monday, April 1.

AJ's Diner has been family owned and operated for the past 30 years.

AJ's Diner features home-cooked meals with daily lunch specials and sandwiches.

The restaurant is open seven days a week from 5:30am - 2:30pm and is located on West Main Street in Vevay.

Free Yorks to Skyline Chili diners on Tuesday

(FOX19) - In honor of National Chocolate Mint Day, Skyline Chili diners will receive a minty treat with their menu purchase on Tuesday.

Dine-in customers will get a free York Peppermint Patty on Tuesday, February 19 with any meal.

“Our customers tell us one of the delights of the Skyline Chili experience is tradition,” said Sarah Sicking, director of marketing for Skyline Chili. “Some of these include making cracker bombs before the meal, wearing their special Skyline bib, talking with their favorite server and getting their York Peppermint Patty to end the meal. We want to honor our customers and their Skyline dining traditions by celebrating National Chocolate Mint Day with our Skyline Chili family.”

(FOX19) - Every Busken Bakery, Remke-Biggs, and Cincinnati/Dayton United Dairy Farmers will be giving away one free Lite Hearted Donu on Valentine's Day to every customer while supplies last.

The Lite-Hearted Donu is a heart-shaped glazed donut targeted to calorie-counting consumers. Each donut contains just 140 calories, 2.5 grams of fat, and zero trans fat and zero saturated fat.

“This year we're giving our hearts to the Queen City,” commented Busken Bakery president, Dan Busken. “As it turns out, our hearts are sweet, low calorie, and romantically guilt-free.”

This will be the largest giveaway in the company’s history, as the combined forces of over 150 stores hands out thousands of free donuts to customers around the city.

The Lite-Hearted Donut™ will be available at all 10 Busken Bakery locations, 135 United Dairy Farmers, and 13 Remke-Bigg’s.

Get free pancakes at IHOP!

OAKLEY, OH (FOX19) - For the eighth consecutive year, IHOP restaurants nationwide will offer each guest a free short stack of its famous buttermilk pancakes on National Pancake Day in an effort to raise awareness and funds for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and other local charities.

For every short stack of buttermilk pancakes served on National Pancake Day, IHOP guests are invited to make a voluntary donation to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Donations made at IHOPs in the Cincinnati area will benefit the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals' program at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

IHOP hopes to raise $3 million this year, with a goal to bring the total amount of funds raised to more than $13 million.
