Restriction Moratorium for Memorial Day in Southeast Indiana
IN (FOX19) - The Indiana Department of Transportation is declaring a workplace moratorium over the Memorial Day weekend to provide increased safety and better mobility for the motoring public.
Beginning at noon Friday, May 24, lane closures and restrictions on state highways and interstates will be lifted—wherever possible—to maximize traffic flow over the holiday period. Resumption of restrictions will take place Tuesday morning, May 28.
Some closures and lane restrictions at construction sites must remain in effect. They are:
BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY
- State Road 58—culvert replacement 6.5 miles east of S.R. 135
CRAWFORD COUNTY
- State Road 62—bridge repair 2.4 miles east of S.R. 66
JEFFERSON COUNTY
- Milton-Madison Bridge/U.S. Highway 421—no truck traffic, 3 ton weight limit
JOHNSON COUNTY
